Abstract

The U.S. Catholic Bishops are to be congratulated for their initiative in entering the treacherous waters of economic and public policy analysis. Although the present response to their Pastoral Letter (henceforth called BP, for "Bishop's Pastoral") is highly critical in many regards, the publication of this document is still most gratefully received.
