Abstract

ITC, with a revenue of $ 6 billion, is a major Indian conglomerate. It started as a cigarette company. It moved into manufacture of paper and packaging material. It also has a large presence in hotels, fast moving consumer goods, and agri-business. The case raises question of how to evaluate the performance of a conglomerate like ITC.
