Abstract

At every stage of the proceedings, the procedural law determines the Prosecutor’s scope of action and is therefore of utmost importance for his competence and powers. To assess the Prosecutor’s role properly it is necessary to provide an overview of the procedural regimes of the various tribunals. This chapter thus serves as an introduction to the following chapters where the main procedural aspects and problems will be discussed in more detail.
