Abstract

Human beings on the earth gets their civilized status of life with extensive struggle and crucial decisions at different instances of time to create a progressive society. But the span of human thinking and working is different in different parts of the world. Traditions, customs, and geographic conditions vary at each and every place. This change leads to difference in social, economic, political conditions of genders in society. This paper focus on human development policy and analysis of condition of female gender, by critically examining status of woman and development of Law in India. The effort is to unfold the realities of equality, with an enquiry to truly recognize the constraints in empowerment of women in India. A light is also thrown on development of legal policy of India, which aims to provide safe, secure and peaceful life to all women in India.
