Abstract

There has been a paucity of research concerning the current state of risk management in small and medium firms. This study aimed to examine different risk streams for and risk management practices in small and medium enterprises in Sri Lanka. Using a survey instrument based on available literature, data was collected from 50 firms. Data analysis included the qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results indicate that there is some need for improving planning systems to deal with the current state of risk in small and medium enterprises.
