Abstract
Paul Kahn is engaged in a project of exploring the social imaginary i.e., the apriori notions through which people frame their world. But how does one explore the social imaginary? In this review of his recent book "Political Theology: Four New Chapters on the Concept of Sovereignty," I examine the place of empirical evidence in the exploration of the social imaginary.
