Abstract

Paper delivers at a Symposium concerninig current issues left open by the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA"). The author's paper treats the question of physician-assisted suicide and quality-of-life considerations of peculiar concern to people with disabilities. The United States Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Washington v. Glucksberg, ("Compassion in Dying")' and Vacco v. Quill ("Quill") on January 8, 1997. The author analyzes the soundness of these Ninth and Second Circuit decisions.
