Innovation governance refers to the rules, processes, procedures and specific actions that influence innovations and their dissemination. Good innovation governance includes a monitoring system, compliance with agreed policies and corrective action. While entrepreneurs and private firms are key players in the innovation process, Government also plays a key role in providing legal infrastructure and promoting basic scientific knowledge. It is imperative to governments and business leadership to pay utmost attention to the role of innovation in national growth, competitiveness and quality of life.
The present study seeks to understand the existing science and technology policy that facilitate and promote the growth of technology and innovations and legal and regulatory environment in India.
