Abstract
Violent hazing has long-been an issue for black Greek-letter organizations (“BGLO”). Litigation resulting from the 2009 death of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity pledge, Donnie Wade, highlights what could become important evidence in future litigation. This article explores how BGLO chapter monikers, suggestive of violence, might be used in litigation against BGLOs where hazing is at issue.
