Abstract

On Farm, research was started as field experiment in the year 2007 and is continued. The mean value of experimental result for 2007-2010 revealed that the farmers practice gave the lowest oil yield of 162.80 kg / ha. While the recommended practices gave the highest yield at 280.90 kg / ha closely followed by the treatment with neem cake 276.60 kg / ha. The gross income followed the similar trend. There was much more variations in the net income of the four years of the experimentation but mean value again followed in the trend of yield. The lowest value (Rs.20567.00) per hectare was obtained in the case of farmers practice while the highest in case of recommended practices at Rs.54460.00 per ha. The practice advised by the KVK Barh, Patna (Bihar) was second in net income with its value of (Rs. 47974.00) per ha. However, year wise gradual increase in gross income led to continue the experiments further.
