Abstract

This introduction to the edited volume International Criminal Procedure: Principles and Rules (OUP f 2013) presents the research project for the identification of general rules and principles of that body of law that was recently completed by the International Expert Framework on International Criminal Procedure. The chapter discusses the purposes and rationale for the research and explains the approach and methodology adopted by the group.
