Abstract

Transitional period in the post-Communist countries is ended. Acceptance to the EU of the majority of countries in Eastern Europe and the Baltics has in essence already been decided. Unfortunately the economic (and not only economic) system of CIS countries is far from European style of capitalism. It is better to qualified as 'post-communist capitalism', a society that can not be squeezed into the classic understanding of the word “capitalism” or any other theoretically generalized model of capitalism. The key reason for this phenomenon is what can be termed the 'necroeconomy'.
