Abstract

Several state court systems have significantly improved their assistance to limited English proficient court users over the past three years. Much of this has come in response to U.S. Department of Justice guidance documents, warning letters and investigations under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. At the same time, problems and investigations persist in a number of other states.
