Spirituality at Work and Workplace Spirituality has been a growing phenomenon, as indicated by the increasing number of spirituality related articles in business magazines, business journals and leadership workshops and conferences. While those researches has focused on defining spirituality, and its implications at workplace, not much business academic research has happened on a theme that could be termed the foundation on which the spiritual castle is built – this foundational concept is Trikarana Suddhi or ‘Purity and Unity of Thought, Word and Deed’. One area where the emerging academic research related to spirituality at work has significantly focused on is the impact of spirituality in leadership. There have also been two literatures that have referred to ‘Tapping Spirituality as the Context of Business Leadership”, a practice considered to be an emerging, refined and evolved state of leadership practice. With Trikarana Suddhi being the foundation on which the spiritual castle is built, the researcher thought that it was important to ascertain the existence of linkages between these two constructs. The researcher felt that, if there existed a linkage, it could help business leaders self-navigate in their leadership practice and it would also help business organisations to be a more responsible, caring and sustainable organisations.
