Abstract

This casenote outlines and provides a brief commentary on the first verdict of the International Criminal Court, in which a former Congolese rebel leader was found guilty of the war crime of recruiting and using child soldiers. Discussed are investigative and evidentiary issues, charging decisions, and sentencing rationale.
