Abstract

In this article, Ronald Rychlak provides a holistic overview of the intersection of law and gambling in the United States in an effort to spur legal research and discussion on the emerging issues in gaming law. Rychlak briefly describes the history of gambling, the social impacts of gambling (including poverty, environmental problems, and crime), gambling regulation, and internet gambling as areas of law prime for interesting scholarship.
