Abstract

The International Dairy Federation (IDF) is an industrial organization whose objective is to represent the dairy sector worldwide by providing the best global source of scientific expertise and knowledge in support of the development and promotion of quality milk and dairy products to deliver consumers with nutrition, health, and well-being (IDF 2008). IDF is well known for its scientific expertise, and oft en provides background information and scientific support to different international organizations. The Federation is structured on the basis of national diary associations, who are its members. It is not to be confused with the International Diary Food Association (IDFA), based on Washington, D.C., which represents the US’s dairy industries. The IDF House is located in Brussels, Belgium.
