Abstract

The authors demonstrate how the Book of Psalms with its 150 inspiring and rousing hymns can be used to teach timeless and critical values to people. These values include persistence, faith, honesty, assistance to the underprivileged, concern for others, importance of community, compassion, forgiveness, penitence, and redemption. The Book of Psalms is a relevant resource for leaders as a way to understand the importance of ethical leadership and can also be a useful tool in developing integrity. This paper examines several of the most powerful statements in Psalms and demonstrates how they provide guidance, inspiration, and hope for a better tomorrow.
