Frontier Markets: Old Acquaintances, New Opportunities

Abstract

The emergence of frontier markets is consolidating South-South relations and speeding up the global economic re-balance. Below, Tomás Guerrero describes how, to ensure long-term growth, driven by the combination of abundant natural resources and low labor costs, this set of countries have begun to put in place mechanisms to solve the difficult equation that will be presented in a few decades: the sum of finite recourses plus a demographic boom.
