Abstract

This report seeks to map out and detail emerging trends, implications and threats to the right to private life and to data protection linked to the use of the Internet and related services. The report builds on the discussions held in the context of Internet governance events (IGF and EuroDig in particular) and considers the issues under both a public sector and private sector angle (and in respect of the latter, distinguishes between individuals and groups/user of the Internet and Internet-related services, and companies).
