Abstract
This unique instructional text combines substantial coverage of both the U.N. Convention on Contracts for the Sale of Goods (the CISG) and International Commercial Arbitration, emphasizing the significance of both in promoting transactions in goods across national borders. The book sets the stage for each in an introductory chapter providing an overview of international trade, generally, along with some of the basic issues raised by cross-border trade and the mechanisms for addressing these issues. The full text of Chapter 10, addressing enforcement of arbitration awards, is provided as an example of the basic approach employed throughout the book.
