Abstract

The paper tries to emphasize the relation between Business Intelligence as methodology and support for business decisions and the Automotive Industry with its subfield of Driving Assistance Technologies. There are many points to start presenting this relation and the paper approaches to most of them, the focus being on the interface and presentation. After observing some Business Intelligence applications starting from tools implemented in office and even in some operating system, we compared them to the software used to assist a driver in a car trip. The resemblance was amazing in terns of relating the goals with most of the interface symbols (alerts, colors, shapes). The paper also contains many examples and many relations between the corresponding types of applications and paradigms.
