Abstract

While the large organizations define their strategies by overrating the knowledge management, the universities of information society are more and more involved in the knowledge management formation process and also in ensuring the efficiency of some particular knowledge management activities.

This study means an analysis of the knowledge management system within an important faculty from the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University and it is finalized with the proposal of extending the portals as information storing/retrieving and knowledge transfer/dissemination solution to all user categories: students, professors, researchers, managers and administrative personnel.
