Abstract

This paper demonstrates the importance of teaching values that include business ethics and social responsibility to students. Using a text-based approach may not be the ideal way to reach the digitally savvy students of today. The authors demonstrate numerous ways to instill values. These include music, speeches, YouTube videos, film, television, as well as literature. This is especially significant because there is evidence that traditional courses in ethics (especially business ethics) have not been successful in making students ethical.

Keywords: teaching business ethics, values, ethics, music to teach ethics, social responsibility, films to teach ethics
