Abstract

This paper is basically an integration of primarily a discussion of the practices of teaching and learning in elementary mathematics from the perspectives of Eastern and Western cultures (Md-Yunus 2010) and secondarily some cultural matters related to marketing (LaPlante 2005). Firstly, it focuses on the differences in teaching pedagogy in math between the United States and Singapore; second, it sought to solve the problems in relation to the relationship between culture and marketing.
