English Abstract: This case deals with the merger of three Spanish Saving Banks into Liberbank. It provides data to judge the behavior of the auditors and of the Bank of Spain. We present public information about the merge and show that the owners of preferred shares did not have any preference: they lost money and the shareholders did not. We also show the financial statements of the Savings Banks (2000-2013) and ask the reader: Can you believe these statements?
