Abstract

The purpose of the Seanad Electoral (Panel Members) (Amendment) Bill 2014 is to provide for four seats in Seanad √Čireann for graduates of Irish third level institutions other than the National University of Ireland and the University of Dublin, without affecting the existing University seats in Seanad √Čireann elected pursuant to the Seanad Electoral (University Members) Act, 1937.
