Félipe M. Santos (2012) has laid the foundations of a positive theory of social entrepreneurship by distinguishing it from commercial entrepreneurship through the concepts of value creation and value capture, and limiting it to positive externalities, both of which may lead to many avenues of conceptual research. However, the introduction of the "other's regard" as motivation to distinguish social entrepreneurship has inherent problems at this stage and may require further development.
