Abstract

Executives need to constantly boost their creativity. Understanding and managing creative behavior can help executives optimize their career evolution and how they are perceived by their colleagues, hierarchy or other executives.

The leading question: How can executives recognize and manage their creative behavior?

Findings: -Creative behaviors fall into five categories: Adapter, Constructor, Integrator, Inventor and Replicator -Executives need to recognize their behavior toward risk and learn how to optimize it in different contexts. -Executives need to match their problem solving context with the appropriate creative behavior.
