Abstract
The author reviews the book Larry H. White (2012): The Economic Clashes of the Last Hundred Years. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2012.
Is the book White (2012) a modern text book of history of economic thought? Kuhn (1970) argues that the scientific development is a matter of the competition between theoretical paradigms. Coase (1994) applies this argument on the development of the economic theory. White (2012) tries to illustrate this argument on the development of economic theory of the last hundred years. In my opinion this is how modern and advanced text books of history of economic thought might be written.
