Abstract

This document was written as a handout for first year law students in a Civil Procedure class, but it could be useful for any class that will involve a graded essay exam. It identifies the features that make for a good answer, suggests techniques for planning the essay before writing it, and offers suggestions for the most clear and efficient ways to write the essay itself.
