Abstract

In Romania, the fall of the communist regime made possible the private education. However, its development was asymmetric. The Private Universities increased in number beginning with the 1990s and the private schools had a delayed start. The new trend of the education reform in Romania could bring significant changes for the private schools. Besides the new quality exigencies, the reform could lead to new conditions of the competition from the public and the private schools. In this article we approach the future evolutions of the private schools from Romania. In our attempt we use information offered by the government sources and from an investigation we did on a group of teachers.
