Abstract

This research paper presents a new analytical model to study the evolution of the general development process of People’s Republic of China (PRC) from a new perspective of analysis. This new analytical model is called the Domestic General Development Model (DGD-Model). The DGD-Model is not intended to use a forecasting model in any case. However, its application is not limited to the study of a special group of countries. It is not constrained by issues about the region or countries that are interested in apply DGD-Model.

Faster economic growth and trade of PRC is not a purely economic phenomenon but a multidimensional phenomenon. I evaluate the prospects of two large parts of East China (coastal)1 (coastal) and West China (inland)2 (inland) from a multidimensional perspective encompassing the political, social, economic and technological dimensions. To do so, I use the Domestic General Development Model (DGD-Model) based on GDRI-Model by Mario A Ruiz Estrada in 2004. The main finding of this research is that there is a wide and growing gap between East and West China (inland) in terms of political, social, economic and technological development as well as overall development.
