Abstract
Citing a case of Taj Mahal, the paper examines maternal death and issues emblematic of reproductive health in India today. It compares maternal death 382 years ago and today and suggests solutions to improve maternal health and reduce maternal mortality citing the case of Queen Ulrika Eleonora’s solution.
