Susan Haack answers questions about how she first encountered the work of C. S. Peirce, about her contributions to Peirce scholarship and use of Peirce’s ideas in her own work, about open questions in the field, etc. Her interview concludes with a suggestion that Peirce’s work might fruitfully be approached via his remarkably vivid and telling philosophical images — metaphors, similes, and analogies; and with a declaration that “the way to look at Peirce’s work is emphatically not as yet another area of specialization, but as a valuable … intellectual resource.”
