Review of one of the more powerful areas of competition law in Ireland. This describes the rules pertaining to merger control in Ireland, particularly in the context of EU merger decisions and court cases. The work does more than describe the law and the cases, however; it also provides insight into the decisional practice of the Irish Competition Authority and the thinking behind the key case law of the Irish courts.
