Abstract

The paper describes current trends in air passenger transport services to remote areas of Russia. The study provides an overview of the current state of passenger air transportation, airport infrastructure in remote areas and also airline companies' demand for airplanes. The authors argue that subsidies to the industry are needed to reduce the outflow of people from remote areas.
