Abstract
Climate change is increasingly becoming a serious challenge to Nigeria's socioeconomic development. Various manifestations of its impact are evident in Nigeria, which include increase in drought, scarcity of food instigated somewhat by irregularities in rainfall and over flooding. The implications of these challenges range from hunger and ill-health to migration. The paper draws attention to the increasing degree of the impacts and suggests adaptation strategies for Nigeria.
