Abstract

There are many intersections between tort law and environmental law, and an almost overwhelming variety of ways to approach the topic. This chapter first explores the possible instrumental roles of tort for environmental decision-making, and then turns to the ways in which environmental regulation can contribute to the shaping of tort norms.
