Abstract

Article details the functions of organizational gossip and how managers can effectively address it in the workplace. Gossip can be a tricky organizational phenomenon in that it can be both positive and negative at the same time; this often depends on whether one is viewing the gossip from the employee’s perspective or the organization’s perspective.
