Abstract

This article deals with the methodological issues arising in approaching the problem of the institutional causes for the delay observed in the development of capitalist relations of production in Greek farming in an attempt to define both the potential and the actual dynamic of such a development. It is argued that the historical delay lies in the form and chronological evolution of the land reform in Greece.
