Abstract
As a policy area with vital implications for national security, nuclear weapons are a logical area for academics to have input. While challenges to plugging into the policy world exist, academic research and theorizing on nuclear weapons has the potential, if pitched in the right way, to help shape policy debates in Washington, DC and elsewhere.
