Abstract

Amicus curiae brief by two law of war experts in the U.S. Supreme Court case of Donald Rumsfeld v.Jose Padilla, an American citizen arrested in Chicago on suspicion of planning terrorist acts in solidarity with Al Qaeda and detained by the U.S. military. The authors submitted a legal analysis of the minimum rights guaranteed to all detained persons under the law of war.
