Abstract

English Abstract: This paper explains Kenneth Burke's conception of the role of language in philosophy, and more generally in the analysis and communication of experience, especially by way of his comments on T. S. Eliot's thesis on Bradley. Both Burke's and Eliot's views are seen in their kinship with the central tenets of continental phenomenological hermeneutics.
