Abstract

Teaching is one of the most important and noble professions in the world. According to (WHO), health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. In India, a large number of teachers are facing stress. The studies conducted so far have an attempt to analyze the stress and related problems of the teachers. Therefore, it is a felt need to conduct an empirical study on the stress faced by school teachers and hence a study was conducted among the teachers working in Matriculation Schools with the main objective to understand the stress level in them. The present article discusses the important findings achieved through the study and the means to minimize the stress level in them.
