A Rising Star: The Emergency Arbitrator

Abstract

In this article, after a brief overview about the interim measures, the author examines the matter of the Emergency Arbitrator provisions by comparing six sets of rules among famous arbitral institutions. In particular, the article deals with procedures of application, appointment and decision. The article also deals with the issue of recognition and enforcement of an Emergency Arbitrator’s decision. The author underlines that more and more arbitral institution are adopting provision about the Emergency Arbitrator.
