Abstract

This article was written based upon data from the first research on the market of domestic workers-migrants, performed by the Migration Research Center with the support of UN Women in 2013 in Russia and Kazakhstan. The article explains who domestic workers are and how they look for work; their legal status, salary and social package. It also discusses the issue of competition between local and foreign domestic workers.
