Abstract

Mobile telecommunications sector has experienced various periods of development at the European Union level. Although there are a number of European regulations to whom the Member States have to comply with, there are also many differences between these countries in terms of mobile telecommunications development. This paper highlights the evolution of this sector at the level of the European Union and it customizes Romania’s situation from a competitive perspective. Moreover, the present study reflects the situation of our country in this European context by means of an analysis of telecommunications market, focusing on the evolution of the enterprises operating in the mentioned sector, starting with the moment of the economic crisis up to the present.
