Abstract
The author was asked to give remarks to a congregation at a service for the Jewish high holy days. This article are those remarks. The author relates the Cubs baseball team to the time on the Jewish calendar, as those hope for a good season for the Cubs, so too do the congregants hope for a good new year. Also, the author relates that devotion to a baseball team is much the same as devotion to one's religion.
