Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the causes and factors of corruption and its effects and the most important legal tools to fight it. The study aims at evaluating the legal and institutional frameworks for the Anti-Corruption Commission in Jordan through showing some of the fallacies and contradictions in its law and its working methods. The purpose of this evaluation is to draw attention that this evaluation can contribute in the process of the desired judicial and economic reform in Jordan to promote the rule of law and institutions and confirm the principle of the rule of law in Jordan. The study also aims at providing a national vision contributes to build an effective national strategy to fight and reduce corruption and promote the concepts of accountability, integrity and transparency in Jordan.
